Hand-painted, soft, shiny novelty ribbon yarn in Heartbeat
Knittique is now in its second year of producing exclusive, limited-edition hand-painted yarns, and this fabulously shiny ribbon yarn is one of the unusual novelty textures that are my specialty!
This glowing colorway, Heartbeat, combines all my favorite shades of red, bordeaux, and fuchsia into dramatic and passionate skeins. Gorgeous!

PROJECT IDEAS: Ribbon yarns are incredibly versatile. You can knit with them; I particularly like drop-stitch patterns for ribbon scarves, and you can also knit them more tightly to make little bags. Crochet a trim for a pillow, incorporate ribbon pieces into scrapbook or card-making projects, make jewelry, or just use it for uniquely beautiful gift-wrapping! One of my favorite things to do with ribbon yarns is to use them for fringe; this is especially effective when you combine a strand of ribbon with a strand of something else (my fave: hand-painted mohair) in your fringe.
