Knittique is now in its second year of producing exclusive, limited-edition hand-painted yarns, and this sumptuous alpaca/silk yarn is one of the luxury fibers I specialize in!

Continuing Knittique's Birthstone Collection yarns, this amazing colorway, Peridot, is one of my interpretations of August's birthstone. Peridot's colors range from bright chartreuse to deep golden-olive green and bronze, along with a subtle blue-green cast that I tried to capture in this colorway. Gorgeous!

For a more intense version of this palette, take a look at this shiny ribbon yarn in Peridot.

Skein weight: 100 g/3.5 oz.
Yards/skein: 244

Gauge: U.S. #2 needle: 25 sts/31 rows = 4”

PLEASE NOTE: All yarns will be wound into center-pull balls before shipping, so they'll arrive ready-to-use! If you'd rather your yarn was left in skein form (as shown here), you must let us know when you place your order. Thank you!

Care: Hand wash in cool water with mild detergent. Rinse in cool water, and gently squeeze out excess water. Lay on towels or drying rack to air-dry.

PROJECT IDEAS: 2 skeins of Lofty should easily be enough for 1 pair of adult-size socks. (Please note that I can't promise that, because I don't know what pattern you might be using, but in my experience so far, somewhere between 300-400 yards of a sock-weight yarn is enough for 2 regular-length socks).

This particular yarn is very soft and silky, and a bit less elastic than 100% wool, so it would also be lovely made into a scarf, shawl, cowl, etc. 1 skein should be enough to make a smaller scarf, for example.
