The color of the 2 knitted cords in this dramatic red and pink necklace is Ruby, from my Birthstone Collection of skein colorways (see more in the Knittique Collection). The stunning fan-shaped bib is made of mother-of-pearl (MOP), each piece alternating with a deep cranberry-colored freshwater pearl. (The bib is much lighter-weight than it looks.) The bib connects to the knitted cords with beautiful red-crystal ornaments, and the necklace is finished with an antique-gold-finish heart-shaped lobster claw clasp.

The knitted cord is made with yarns from the color cards, like the Ruby one shown here, that are made while developing new colorways for Scraplet Skeins, Knittique's unique multi-textured yarns. Upcycling at its best!
Like all my knitted jewelry (and my yarns), this necklace is all about beautiful color and textures, including the carefully chosen hardware. It's lightweight and comfortable to wear, and will dress up even the simplest outfits.
Materials: The knitted tubes includes wool, alpaca, mohair, cotton, silk, angora, nylon, polyester, acrylic, and metallic fiber. The connecting hardware and clasp are coated brass; the connecting ornaments are brass with glass crystals. The bib pieces are shell, with freshwater pearls in between. There are tiny glass seed beads between the bib and the crystal ornament, and the bib is strung on flexible beading wire (tiger tail).
Size: Total length of this necklace about 17.5" around the inside edge of the knitted cord, and about 24" around the outside edge, including the bib. The longest bib pieces are 1.75" long.
This beautifully unique necklace will come to you nestled safely in a padded white jewelry box, packed with tissue paper and TLC. Perfect for gift-giving!
