Knittique is now in its second year of producing exclusive, limited-edition hand-painted yarns, and this beautiful luxury-fiber bouclé yarn is one of the unusual novelty textures that are my specialty!
This vibrant colorway, Watermelon Tourmaline, is inspired by one of my favorite gemstones, with predominant hues of bronze-y golden green and watermelon-raspberry pinks, accented with touches of coppery-pink. Gorgeous!

Tip: Honestly, bouclé yarns can be tricky to work with, IF you're using needles with sharp points, which tend to catch in the little loops on the yarn. I highly recommend using bamboo needles when working with this yarn.
Care: Be gentle! Hand wash in cool water with mild detergent. Rinse in cool water, and gently squeeze out excess water. Lay on towels or drying rack to air-dry.
Available for custom-ordering.
PROJECT IDEAS: Because this yarn has a lot of mohair, and it's bouclé, it does best when knitted on fairly large needles in simple stitches (the swatch is stockinette stitch: alternating knit and purl rows). So even 1 skein will go further than you might think. I'd suggest a simple tubular cowl or a cozy garter-stitch scarf, either of which could be made from 1 skein of this yarn. 2 skeins would likely be enough to make a capelet or larger scarf or shawl. Now that I think about it, 1 skein would also make a super-fun hat— I'm thinking bouclé beret!
