Sample pricing: Since this piece has been worn occasionally by models (including Lola the Mannequin), and tried on in yarn stores during trunk shows, we are offering this sample at a very special price— but remember that we only have one!
The Scraplet Skeins™ Chevron Capelet in Zap!: This striking capelet features a bold chevron-stitch pattern, which forms the zigzag lower edge, a cozy, stretchy ribbed foldover neckband in soft hand-painted wool, and a bold color sequence of browns, deep purple, and a single stripe of bright gold.
PLEASE NOTE that the colors (and color sequence) are shown most accurately in the color card (2nd photo).
Size: One size fits most adults; the Zap! Chevron Capelet measures approximately 15.5" long (from top of folded neckband to longest point) and 58" around the lower edge. (It will reach below the bustline on most women.) The neckband, when unfolded, is about 10" long.
Materials: There are more than 20 different yarns in the Zap! Chevron Capelet, including wool, mohair, silk, alpaca, cotton, angora, rayon/viscose, bamboo, nylon, acrylic, and polyester. The ribbed neckband is 100% wool.
Care: Occasional hand-washing is good for these high-quality fibers; simply soak in cool water with a gentle detergent (or any of the products made specifically for hand-knitted pieces), rinse gently in cool water, squeeze out as much water as possible without wringing, and lay flat to dry.
Get this pattern: If you'd like to make your own version of this scarf, here's the pattern, which includes instructions for 3 versions! (To make the style shown here, you'll need just 1 Scraplet Skein, plus a small amount of a coordinating yarn for the neckband; see the pattern details for more information.) And although the Zap! Scraplet Skeins colorway shown here is sold out (sorry about that), there are plenty of beautiful colors available in the Knittique section.
